· Current awareness service
The users of the library are informed about newly acquired books by displaying jackets of books at the new arrival board at the entrance of the library to bring these to the notice of the users. Information about significant days, periodical received, positive thoughts, etc. are being displayed regularly on the library display board. Thematic exhibitions are also arranged periodically.
· Reference service
A reference help desk is available in the library. This is to provide assistance to readers in locating any information/documents. Members are free to seek the assistance of library staff in selecting reading material, checking references, compilation of bibliographies, procurement of documents, etc. Library orientation service is being provided to the new entrants in the beginning of the academic session to familiarize them with the various library services. However, users can also submit their queries, complaints, suggestions by clicking the Ask a librarian link.
· Internet facility
The library also provides Internet facility to its users. 2 terminals are arranged for this purpose. It facilitates the students and faculty members with e-mail and Internet services at free of cost.
· Book reviews
To inculcate the reading habits among the students, book reviews competitions are being organized from time to time. The participants are rewarded with a certificate and an impressive review is being published in the newspapers.
However, to promote the use of the library, best library user is selected at the end of the session taking into consideration the overall use of the library resources. Rewards are given to the selected user.
Library automation
To facilitate the effective use of books, the library has started computerization of library services. E- Granthalaya library management software by the NIC Govt. of India has been used. Bar-coding of books is in process. From the session 2017-18, electronic transaction of library documents has been started.
